Reference Management
There are a lot of tools out there these days for managing your bibliographies. Here are a few:
- Mendeley
- RefWorks - I currently use RefWorks, mostly because I get free access via my University (Paul Wren).
- WizFolio
- Zotero
Here's a great comparison of 15 different reference manager software packages (both web and desktop).
Fieldnote and Database Management
- NVivo - Paid service, but prices/discounts vary according to type/quantity of license.
- Zotero - (technically a reference manager, can be used for fieldnotes as well (Fran Barone))
- Fieldnotes Editor, Kinship Editor, and VideoGrok (Note: alpha and beta releases. Developed by Michael Fischer, University of Kent.)
- Filemaker Pro - Paid software, but educational discounts and free trials available.
